I liked this story line. That both the guys and Zura were half breeds, but got each other. The plot line was good and moved well. The sexy scenes were well spaced and not too long as to take up too much of the story. But the POV changed without warning, making the reading choppy. Still worth the read.

Double Down The Drift Book 1 eBook Susan Hayes Reviews

Good M/F/M romance full of humor between to cyborg brothers and a hybrid alien/human pilot.

The story centers around Zura, a pilot on the run from her crazy ex and the 2 cyborg soldiers that will do anything to protect her.

The cyborg soldiers, Kit and Luke have a touching back story and pulled though stronger at the end going as far as owning their own bar/fight club. They really go above and beyond to keep Zura safe and its very touching.

I like Zura, she has spunk and after being raised by a single dad that likes to sleep around, she does well for herself.

My only problem with the book and why the 4 stars is that it dragged some, it was enjoyable enough to continue reading but I did find myself skipping pages other than that it was ok.
Cyborgs, man. I have such a weakness for them and all their metal parts. Kit and Luke are more than just cyborgs, though. They're twins. Twins who need to share. And Zura is the special lady that get them all fired up.

I liked this book overall (because cyborgs), but there were times when it felt more modern-day than I was expecting. This might seem weirdly specific, but Zura wearing a "little black dress" made me do a double take. I can't even tell you why except I wasn't expecting it and it didn't seem like something a running-on-the-edge cargo pilot would indulge in.

But it was only one little thing and, really, it wasn't enough to take me out of the story for more than a moment. The cyborgs made up for it. As cyborgs often do where I'm concerned. Metal men trying to overcome the horrors of their past...I just eat that up.

Enjoyable overall, don't let my weird hangups about dresses keep you from trying it. I mean, if you like cyborgs, you like cyborgs. Full stop.

The cyborg siblings Kit, Luke and Cynder were made as batch siblings to work as a team during the Resource Wars. Since the end of the wars and they are now recognized as part of the human community, the three siblings have opened up a fight bar and restaurant. Cynder does the bookkeeping, Luke oversees the bar and Kit oversees the security for the Nova club. The only thing missing for the two brothers is someone for them to love. One of the pilots that comes into the club has taken their interest, but she is hard to read and the brothers are taking it slow with her. Zura has been in the drift belt all of her life. Her father kept Zura with him since she was a baby and her mother died. She likes this Nova club and the owners, she feels safe within the clubs doors. Zura does really like the 2 cyborg brothers, but is not sure her interest is reciprocated. The story unfolds with both Kit and Luke declaring their interest in Zura and hoping that she could be the one for them.
I did enjoy much of this story, although it was repetitive without moving the story line along
in places, and I did find a few typos. Still it kept my interest for the most part. It was free
so if you get it for free it's worth your time reading it if you like fantasy books.
I read some of the next book and don't think it is something I would be interested in, having
2 men and women in this one was enough, the next one I think is one women and 3 men.
I felt like the sex scenes were good for the most part, but did get a little repetitive there too.
Makes me want to skim pages when it repeats stuff.
I did read it to the end, of which I felt the ending was a little rushed, but decent.
Happy reading Ya'll...
They're both cyborg soldiers who have over-powered their programming and have attained free will. Kit and Luke Armas are identical twin brother cyborgs that look human but have enough steel and technology in their bodies to make them thought of as a machine by some, and nothing more (think Bionic Man). They are identical in every way and can only be told apart by the way they style their hair and their personalities. I liked them both but they were too courteous, sweet and polite for me...not very dominant.

Zura Watson is a blue skinned halfbreed pilot of outer space cargo shipments. She pilots through the hazards of colonized and uncolonized planets, moons, astroid fields and belts, and various solar systems and galaxies for her living.

I really don't know what possessed me to purchase this book because I'm not in to this fantastical Sci-fy genre. And because I purchased it six months ago...well, I've slept since then and cannot recall. (it was Christmas Eve so maybe It was the wine ..) But if you're into Star Trek or Battlestar Galactica then you'll love this book. However the drama is weak, there is no real controversy (I kept waiting for the fellas' ex to make an appearance and start trouble...but...nothing)...and the pacing is slow and repetitive. The steamy scenes are mild but good in a erotically and rushed sweet way and they don't overpower the predictable plot. The dialogue is cheesy, the villain is laughable, and the final battle (the grand finale) is rushed, predictable and without drama. I'm glad this story was a freebie.
I liked this story line. That both the guys and Zura were half breeds, but got each other. The plot line was good and moved well.
